At just five years old, he climbed behind the wheel of a Go-Kart and proved to everyone watching what we always knew. Chandler Gallman was born to be a race car driver. He spent his first six years racing in Go-Karts all over South Carolina, Georgia, and the surrounding areas. He won almost every race he went to. He lived to race. While most kids his age were playing with toys and watching TV, Chandler spent his days at the race shop. He prepped tires, worked on the motor, helped his dad with his limited late-model car, and learned everything he could about setting up race cars. When he turned 11, he told his Grampi, the legend Jerry Rector, he wanted to build himself a car. They discussed it, and he built a pure stock to race at Anderson Motor Speedway. So Jerry gave Chandler his old mailcar, a Chevy Monte Carlo.
Chandler spent the whole summer that year stripping the car to the bare bones and rebuilding it into a race car. He finished just in time for the last two races at Anderson that year (2022). Chandler went on the following season to dominate the competition. He won more races that season (2023) than any other driver, and he was, in fact, the youngest in the class. Chandler had motor issues early in the season in one race, which cost him the championship. He finished 2nd in points. When the season ended, we knew Chandler was wasting his talent in the pure stock class. Chandler went to work on his own limited late model. This 2024 season is sure to be interesting.
John Gallman is indeed a jack of all trades and a master of most. He started his racing career at the age of just 14. John Gallman is indeed a jack of all trades and a master of most. He started his racing career at the age of just 14. His dad, the legend Jerry Rector, had John at the track, teaching him the ins and outs of racing at a very young age. Like most, he started his racing career in Go-Karts and won race after race throughout South Carolina. It did not take long, and John moved over to BM Modifieds and then to Legend Cars. In 2016, John transitioned to the limited late model class, racing with the traveling series Southeast Super Trucks. John took his racing knowledge and experience as a master machinist and built his late model alongside his dad, Jerry, and the late Lenny Green of J&L Racing. This trio didn't need a big pit crew, they worked as a well oiled machined. He brought home Rookie of the Year (2016), 2nd in Points (2017 & 2018), and 3rd in points (2019 & 2021), along with many, many wins. John has had quite the racing career. When his son Chandler was born, he could not wait to share his love of racing with him. John is still racing in the limited late model class and is also the crew chief of Chandler's race team, CWG Racing.

Nathan Hitt is the newest driver to the CWG Racing Family. However, Nathan is not a newbie when it comes to racing. Nathan was a drag racer for many years. Nathan is a dear friend of the Gallman family and has been a large contributor to our team, sponsoring both the pure stock and the LLM cars. You might recognize the Hitt Fabrication logo on them. When Chandler came out from behind the wheel of the pure stock to focus on the limited late model, Nathan stepped up and said he didn't want that smoking fast pure stock to sit in the garage. Chandler is not done in the Pure Stock class; he has taken on Crew Chief/Spotter duties. Nathan has been practicing the last few weeks and just ran his first race at Anderson Motor Speedway, finishing 5th. We are excited to see Nathan grow as a driver and can't wait to see him in victory lane.
